When I visited Annenberg during Admitted Students’ Day, I immediately felt the energy and passion that define this community. Hearing about the experiences from current students, the range of classes offered, the abundance of clubs and organizations that foster every interest, and the strong and supportive network of alumni, solidified my decision and made it clear that no other place compared. As a student, I have gained foundational knowledge of the communications industry in my classes, and through my involvement in pre-professional Annenberg clubs, I have been able to apply what I’ve learned and gain tangible experience in PR. The energizing and supportive environment constantly inspires me to work towards my goals, and looking back, I can confidently say that Annenberg is the place to be!

Coming from out of state, Annenberg was a huge reason why I chose USC! The campus is very large, but Annenberg helped make it feel small. When I first toured the campus, I immediately fell in love with Annenberg. Being able to learn from world-class faculty, listening to amazing panels, and touring PR agencies has been surreal. The endless opportunities that they provide are amazing, from working in the world-renowned media center to being involved in a student-run PR firm. I love how I can use my knowledge of PR to work in my desired field of either politics or entertainment. I am very excited to see what new opportunities come and grateful to be able to give back to this Annenberg community as an ambassador

I chose USC Annenberg because of its commitment to impactful, hands-on journalism and its belief in the power of storytelling to shape communities. Annenberg doesn’t just teach reporting, but it immerses students in it. Through programs like the Charlotta Bass Journalism & Justice Lab, the school prioritizes amplifying underrepresented voices and reporting with purpose. At the same time, opportunities with Annenberg Media allow students to cover real-time stories, gaining professional-level experience in a dynamic market. USC Annenberg’s blend of ethical journalism, industry access, and experiential learning makes it the ideal place for me to develop into a thoughtful, analytical journalist.

USC Annenberg is one of the few places where I felt I could pursue multimedia journalism at the collegiate level, and it's been everything I've dreamed of and more!! The media center is the coolest place on campus, all the professors are so accomplished and willing to help, Annenberg students are absolutely vibrant and there are so many opportunities to explore. I have so much pride in being a Trojan and am privileged to be able to say I'm an Annenberg student. Fight on!!❤️💛

I chose Annenberg because I want to be part of a team of staff and students who help create a unique impact in the communication industry and encourage each other to figure out where our skills can be the most helpful. Before I got to USC, I wrote for and led my high school newspaper but I didn’t realize the crucial role journalism plays in the industries aside from print we as humans rely on day-to-day. Feeling overwhelmed with opportunity, I knew that whatever I decided to join, I hoped to see myself sitting on that panel among other ambitious students at some point too. I am continuously overwhelmed by the fact that in just one semester as part of the Trojan family I have developed so much as a communicator and person. I am so grateful to have chosen Annenberg and you should too!

When I first visited USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism as a high school student, I immediately felt it was where I belonged. Seeing the towering screen inside Wallis Annenberg Hall showcasing student and alumni achievements, I sensed I was stepping into a space driven by innovation and storytelling. Now as a student, that first impression has only grown stronger. While USC is a large university, Annenberg feels close-knit and deeply supportive. Professors invest in our growth, and students genuinely champion one another’s goals. As a public relations major, I’ve explored interests in entertainment and politics while building meaningful connections. Even far from home, Annenberg has become my community—and a place that constantly inspires me to grow.
